Refund policy
This Return and Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to all purchases made on the Homily website (“Website”). Homily (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an online e-commerce platform offering home décor and jewelry products. By placing an order on the Website, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this Policy, which governs returns, replacements, refunds, and cancellations.
Homily accepts return or refund requests only for products that are received in a damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different condition from what was ordered. All return or refund requests must be initiated within 5 calendar days from the date of delivery, as confirmed by our logistics partner. Requests raised after this period may not be accepted unless required under applicable law. Customers must provide clear and sufficient proof of the issue, including photographs or videos showing the product, packaging, and shipping label. Homily reserves the right to request additional information to validate the claim and to reject claims that lack adequate evidence.
To be eligible for a return or refund, the product must be unused, unwashed, unaltered, and returned in its original condition, along with all original packaging, tags, certificates, accessories, invoices, and promotional items, if any. Products that show signs of use, wear, damage after delivery, tampering, or missing components may be rejected upon inspection and will not be eligible for refund or replacement. All returned items are subject to quality inspection upon receipt at Homily’s warehouse, and approval of a refund or replacement is at Homily’s sole discretion.
Certain products are non-returnable and non-refundable, except where received in a damaged or defective condition. These include, but are not limited to, jewelry items, customized or personalized products, handcrafted or artisanal items, hygiene-sensitive products, clearance or final-sale items, gift items, and any products explicitly marked as non-returnable at the time of purchase. Minor variations in color, texture, finish, size, weight, or appearance—particularly in handcrafted or artisanal products—are considered natural characteristics and shall not be treated as defects or grounds for return or refund.
Once a return request is approved, Homily will provide instructions for returning the product. Customers are responsible for securely packaging the product to prevent damage during transit. Return shipping and reverse logistics costs may be deducted from the refund amount unless the return is a result of Homily’s error, such as shipment of an incorrect or defective product.
Refunds are initiated only after the returned product has been received and successfully inspected by Homily. Approved refunds are processed to the original mode of payment used at checkout or, at Homily’s discretion, issued as store credit for future purchases. Refund processing may take up to 30 calendar days from the date the returned item is received and approved, depending on bank processing timelines, payment gateway policies, and operational factors. Shipping charges, convenience fees, gift-wrapping charges, cash-on-delivery charges, or any other non-product-related fees are non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law.
If an order qualifies for free shipping and is later returned, Homily reserves the right to deduct the standard shipping charges from the refund amount. Orders that are refused at delivery, returned due to incorrect or incomplete address details, customer unavailability, or repeated failed delivery attempts may not be eligible for a full refund. Any logistics, re-shipping, or handling costs incurred in such cases may be deducted from the refund amount, or the refund may be denied entirely.
Homily may offer replacements or exchanges instead of refunds at its discretion. If a replacement product is unavailable, Homily may issue a refund in accordance with this Policy. Homily reserves the right to limit, suspend, or deny return and refund privileges to customers who exhibit excessive return behavior, suspected fraud, misuse of the policy, or resale activity. All decisions made by Homily regarding return eligibility, inspection outcomes, and refund amounts shall be final and binding.
Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been processed or shipped. Cancellation requests raised before dispatch are subject to operational feasibility and approval by Homily, and refunds, if applicable, will be processed as per this Policy.
Homily shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from returns, refund processing delays, or rejected claims. Any disputes related to returns or refunds shall be governed by the jurisdiction and governing law specified in Homily’s Terms of Service.
